Controversial rapper Kanye West is reportedly entangled in a nude photo scandal as several of the multi-platinum selling artist's private, self-captured images have been leaked.
Details surrounding the photos hit the Internet Thursday (October 14) morning.
Kanye West has been embarrassingly caught with his pants down in a nude photo scandal, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. The self-snapped pictures of the music icon, showing his private parts, were reportedly sent to a number of women, and are now for sale and being shopped to various media outlets. RadarOnline.com has seen the two images - both of which leave little to the imagination. One image shows a nude Kanye from the chest up, wearing sunglasses and a gold chain, while the second photo shows the singer's genitals provocatively exposed from his boxer briefs. "These pics have been floating around since he hit so many girls up on MySpace," according to the source of the images. "He probably sent them to many, many women." (Radar Online)
Last year, West said he was contemplating posing disrobed for a photo shoot at some point in his life.
"I made a decision. I wanna make popular music, but I want less fans," he told writer Sean Fennessey when asked if he was comfortable with fame. "I want the freedom of having less fans. It's like the freedom of having less money. If you have less money, you have less responsibility. It's like Bjork. If she wanted to pose naked, you'd be like, 'Oh, that's Bjork.' But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it. I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I'll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture." (MTV)
Aside from the nude scandal, West recently discussed working on his upcoming Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album.
"I wanted to take it back to the essence, like the soulful people who brought knowledge--like RZA and Q-Tip. At a certain point, you need to find a better way to do it; it's like people [in basketball] who dunk and hurt their wrist and come down on their knees too hard. Your knee's gonna give out at a certain point. Some of my social and public-persona knees are starting to give out. I still want to run the games. I've just got to not get kicked up quite as hard." (Vanity Fair)
Last month, Q-Tip discussed West's state of mind in approaching the upcoming solo project.
"This album is, in a good way, going backwards. He's such anartist. He knows exactly what he's doing. When he did [808s & Heartbreaks] that was such a departure from College Dropout. But now he's stepping backwards so this album will be more of a sonic extension of College Dropout and Graduation but he's doing it with a new attitude. He's looking forward but reaching back, which is interesting. It's a calculated toe in yesterday's water if that makes any sense at all (laughs)." (XXL Mag)
